I've always loved magic! I've had the great fortune to perform for tens of thousands of children & adults at some of the most wonderful venues in the world. Whether at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, in a classroom in Cuzco, Peru, or on a jungle path in Bali, Indonesia, I've discovered that magic is a universal language that brings joy and wonder to all.

In 2000 I was introduced to Adelaide Herrmann (1853-1932), the first great  (but long-forgotten) female stage magician. Madame Herrmann became my role model and research subject. In 2012 I published the first-ever book on Adelaide Herrmann, which included her long-lost memoir.  She continues to influence every aspect of my magical life. I give frequent lectures, interviews and tribute shows based on the remarkable Madame Herrmann.

In 2010 I moved to an incredible artist loft in the magical community of Peekskill, NY, where I have held shows, workshops and lectures.

In 2019 I began writing a book, "THE GREAT BOOMSY: The Many Lives of Magic's First Black Superstar," which will be published in 2024 by Floating Lady Publishing.
